In 1924 Mr. Joan Clavel Vila, founder of the family saga, was the architect of the first motorcycle sales and repair establishment in Mataró, a city with very close business and family ties.

In 1960 the first official Renault dealership was inaugurated, thus initiating the business group in the four-wheeled vehicle sector.

In the 70s, with the boom and popularization of the sale of cars and motorcycles and, in general, of the motor world, the next step -almost natural- of the Clavel family was the incursion into the field of gas stations.

In 1995, with the third generation of the Clavel family, represented by the Clavel Jordà brothers, already incorporated into the business, one of the most unique buildings in Mataró, the Auto d’Ara tower, which housed offices, a service station and a new concept of multi-brand dealership to cover the Maresme and Barcelonès areas, was built under their impulse and promotion.

In 2006, the Clavel family embarked on a process of disinvestment, with the aim of launching a new concept of Family Business Group “Family Office” based on the diversification of investments and the constant search for new business opportunities.
